You can pose as a cowboy or a bandit, a tavern gal or a proper lady and be pictured in an old time MOST WANTED poster.
There are a range of outfits, backgrounds, and posters available offering a choice of photo packages to choose between. These make great souvenirs or as personal gifts. There are numerous packages you should purchase to become knighted, where you will have a public rite with the King and Princess and have your picture taken with them. After the ceremony you will receive a certificate of your knighthood and a genuine epee to take home with you.
Manhattan is favored for its “I love NY” logos. New York is an especially proud state and you will find their name on almost anything, from T-shirts to pencils. The memento selection in N. Y is never-ending. It is often nice to pick up a post card and mail it to a friend or family member. Many of those post cards have photos of your holiday area that would add a pleasant touch, showing your pal or relation you’re thinking about them. When ever picking a memento for a family member or pal, bear in mind what would be a thoughtful gift for this person? For a kid or an adult with an affinity for teddy bears, find a cute plush bear with the theme park or state logo.
For the knickknack collector, shot glasses, bells, tiny tea sets or spoons would be a pleasant addition to their collection. Older youngsters or teenagers would likely enjoy a T-shirt or some other thoughtful present. Wherever you go, ensure that your keepsakes include the country’s name or logo, or if you go to a resort or theme park, ensure the present bears its name.

Michigan is all about winter sports and celebrations. The February snow does not slow them down and they keep busy. These events are great for families looking for weekend activities or stopovers on a family holiday. In Sault Ste. Marie, visitors will find the World five hundred Snowmobile Race. This yearly event is the oldest and fastest snowmobile race in North America. The race features time trials, Kids Mini Z Races, the I-500, Vintage Snowmobile Show and an awards banquet following the race. The race first race was held in February 1969 and was the first attempt to race a snowmobile 500 miles. The event drew over 10,000 spectators.
In Harrison you can find the Yearly “Frost Bite Open” Winter Golf Competition on Budd Lake. The event occurs on nine-hole courses and both beginner and vet golfers hit colored tennis balls over the snow. There are more fun games including the men’s and women’s longest drive, the two-person scramble, turkey bowling, the hole-in-one and the best sled competition. The Abrams Planetarium is found on the Michigan State University Campus in East Lansing. They offer public programs on the weekends in the evening and on Sun. afternoons. The shows feature a Digistar II projector and an outdoor observation is held if the sky conditions permit. There also are telescopes in from of the Abrams Planetarium that offer views of astronomic objects.
The Arcadia Brewing Company is found in Battle Stream and features tours of their microbrewery. They produce hand made ales that are brewed in the British practice. They brew ten ales with 5 that are accessible year round and 5 that are seasonal. The products are distributed all though Michigan, Indianapolis, Madison, Wisconsin, Columbus, Ohio and Peoria, Illinois. They also serve specialty pizzas and quesadillas that are prepared in a wood-burning cooker as well as Southern style barbeque.
The Kimball House Museum is open every Friday afternoon for tours. The house was built in 1886 and has served as Battle Creek’s local history museum since 1966. The home is a Queen Ann style house is set apart by a central square tower surrounded by turrets. The home was established by Doctor Arthur Kimball when he set up his medical practice in the city. He became one of the most influential physicians. He worked with Doctor John Harvey Kellogg of the Sanitarium and they established “open air” faculties. He also aided in the building of a tuberculosis surgery.
